Sobhita Dhulipala has unveiled the trailer for her Hollywood debut, “Monkey Man,” directed by Dev Patel. The action thriller, featuring Patel in the lead role, marks Dhulipala’s entry into Hollywood. The film also stars Sikandar Kher, Makarand Deshpande, and others.
In her Instagram post, the “Made In Heaven” actress expressed excitement about her Hollywood debut, sharing the 3-minute-16-second trailer. “Monkey Man” narrates a tale of vengeance as Dev Patel’s character, Kid, seeks retribution against corrupt leaders who murdered his mother and oppress the vulnerable. Set in India, the film draws inspiration from the legend of Hanuman.
The trailer reveals glimpses of Kid’s life in an underground fight club, along with poignant moments with his mother. Fueled by years of suppressed rage, Kid embarks on a journey to settle scores with those who robbed him of everything. The film is set to release globally on April 5th, distributed by Universal Pictures. Dhulipala captioned her post, “An absolute joy to share the trailer of my debut Hollywood film #MonkeyMan.”
