Sofia Vergara’s personal life has been in the spotlight lately due to her separation from her husband, Joe Manganiello, after seven years of marriage. While she’s been open about her single status, she’s approached the topic cautiously on America’s Got Talent.
Fellow judge Howie Mandel has playfully teased Sofia about her romantic life in previous episodes. During one episode, she engaged in lighthearted banter with stand-up comedian Ahren Belisle, and her fellow judges quickly steered the conversation toward her potential romantic interests.
Host Terry Crews asked Sofia about her ideal partner, to which she responded simply: “Someone healthy, someone attractive, someone with a great sense of humor.” Howie, always with impeccable timing, jokingly interjected, “I am taken,” and Sofia added, “Someone who is content with themselves, that’s it.”
In July, Sofia and Joe issued a joint statement announcing their divorce, requesting privacy as they navigate this new phase of their lives. Reports suggest they have been supportive of each other during the divorce proceedings. Joe filed for divorce later that month, citing “irreconcilable differences.”
Sofia and Joe started dating in June 2014, got engaged six months later, and tied the knot in November 2015. Previously, Sofia was married to her high school sweetheart, Joe Gonzalez, from 1991 to 1993, and they have a son named Manolo, now 31. She was also briefly engaged to actor Nick Loeb in 2012, but the engagement ended in 2014, just before she began dating Joe.
During the summer, Sofia enjoyed attending high-profile concerts, including those by Karol G, Taylor Swift, and Beyoncé’s Renaissance Tour. She had high praise for Beyoncé’s show, saying, “Anyone can learn a thing or two from Beyoncé. What a show! Her daughter, her songs, her outfits, her body, I mean everything.”
When asked about her recent involvement in the music scene, Sofia mentioned that she’s been fortunate to receive invitations to fun events and has been accepting them with enthusiasm.
