In a recent interaction with the media after wrapping up the shoot for his talk show Koffee With Karan, filmmaker Karan Johar opened up about his experiences as a single parent to twins Yash and Roohi. Johar expressed his gratitude to his closest friends in the industry, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Rani Mukerji, and Kajol, for their invaluable support.

Reflecting on his parenting journey, Johar, who became a single parent through surrogacy at the age of 44, shared that Kareena had Taimur just two months before Yash and Roohi’s birth, while Rani had Adira a year prior. He emphasized the close bond he shares with these friends and how their children are of similar ages.

Acknowledging the challenges of being a single parent, Johar spoke about the importance of having a support system and expressed his gratitude to his friends, saying, “When you are a single parent, you have to know one thing. Barring the fact that I am eternally grateful to my mother for her constant support, I must say I am grateful to my friends.” He highlighted the significance of having friends who are there for him, even though there were differences in the past.

Johar also touched upon his past feuds with Kajol and Kareena, stating, “With time, you realize that relationships go through ups and downs. I would never want to go back to the time when we weren’t speaking. I am glad that today I am strong as a friend.”

Overall, Karan Johar’s candid revelations provide a glimpse into the supportive network he has in his friends as he navigates the challenges of single parenthood.
