Perry, 19 months sober, had undergone ketamine infusion therapy, but the reported levels exceeded what could be attributed to scheduled sessions.
Edwards, having a deep understanding of Perry’s habits, suggested that Perry might have viewed ketamine infusions differently than illicit substances. She expressed her lack of surprise at the report, citing instances like Perry’s alter-ego ‘Mattman’ emerging, which, she claimed, was associated with being under the influence.
Pointing out Perry’s last Instagram post featuring him in the jacuzzi, signed ‘Mattman,’ Edwards emphasized Perry’s perception of ketamine as distinct from street drugs. She called for an investigation into Perry’s doctors, asserting that obtaining a medical drug like ketamine should be more challenging for street drug peddlers than for medical professionals.
“I think the doctors who had been working with Matthew should be investigated. I’m pretty sure he would have had an in with a doctor,” said Kayti. Perry’s live-in assistant discovered him unresponsive, and the autopsy report mentioned numerous medication bottles and pills in the assistant’s room, aligning with Kayti’s concerns.
